Spotlight on race & ethnicity

The impact of the pandemic amplified inequalities in a number of areas and 2020 was a stark wake-up call for employers, with increasing pressure from internal and external stakeholders to move the dial forward on their diversity, equity and inclusion agenda, not just in terms of gender, but also when it comes to racial inequality for their workforce.

Achieving racial equality is more than representation, it is about achieving equality of opportunity, experience and pay.

Mercer, PWN’s partner organisation, is conducting new research to understand how UK organisations are addressing racial equality. Their research will aim to focus on uncovering the root causes of workplace inequities, identifying which behaviours are helping to close these gaps, and which may be worsening the problems. If you have HR responsibilities in your organisation, we would love to get your views on this. Equally, if you have connections to your organisation’s HR team, forwarding this on to them could help you keep your organisation and leaders accountable.

The survey takes around 30 minutes to complete and all responses will be anonymised. As a thank you for completing the survey, Mercer will offer the following benefits:

  • Full findings report (to be released in Q4 2022)
  • Complimentary custom benchmark report (valued at £5,000) that compares your organisation’s practices against national and industry data
  • Virtual debrief meeting with Mercer consultants to review the results of the custom benchmark report

The deadline to complete the survey is Friday 2nd September 2022. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this critical research. We thank you in advance for your contribution.
