MakeMyPoint is a training focusing on writing business decision making presentations for top management. 

Decision making materials typically go through 3 stages: 1. Thinking, 2. Producing, and 3. Presenting. MakeMyPoint focuses on the 1st stage: on how to create our structure, identify our messages, organise them into a solid flow to make a clear recommendation, and the art and science of visualising all this on slides or in text documents in an appealing way to support your argumentation. (Thus, we will not spend time on “PPT as a software”, nor on public speaking, but focus on collecting our thoughts and putting on paper, possibly in handwriting.) 

During this program people will learn:

• The three different ways people read slides – and how to utilise these
• Using visual design (typography, colours, highlighting, margins and gridlines) to increase our efficiency in conveying our message
• Elements of the slide:
  • Proper Slide titles: message/action titles Visually appealing Body:
  • Using Text slides right
  • Using Charts right (charts vs tables, messages and their chart types, elements of charts, number of dimensions of charts, maximum number per page)
  • Footers, and their value
• Format Checklist to ensure we are visually right

Utilising the mindset and practical concepts learnt at the training, participants can start writing more thought-through presentations in less time from Day 1 – while improving their self-confidence and work-life balance. Via these better-quality presentations, decision makers are also enabled to make more well-founded decisions in a shorter amount of time, thus, the company can react to challenges quicker and better. 

In order to guarantee a high quality of the learning experience, the attendance to this Workshop will be limited to about 10 people.
