What is gender equality?

Gender Equality is defined as a fair and equitable  treatment, access,  opportunity and representation for individuals, regardless of gender

Did you know?

Gender balance directly influences a company’s financial performance. As such, an increase of 30% of women in C-suit lead to 15% profitability (according to Peterson Institute); and a 15% rise in gender-balanced senior management result in 18% of ROI.

Bringing to the table different innovation patterns, being resilient and agile, women bring unparallel value to businesses where they work and lead.

Alarming statistics

The  Covid-19 pandemic has thrown back the progress of gender diversity quite a few years back. According to a recent OECD report, it will take 22 years for women’s participation rate in the labour force to catch up to men’s and a whopping 112 years to close the gender pay gap. This worrying data highlights the need for companies to work on and advance gender balance.

Participants were then encouraged to exchange and discuss real-life experiences they have faced and continue the conversation after the formal event to exchange ideas.
